Join the 2025 National Indoor League this winter!

The League runs for 10 weeks at NFAA ranges across the world, offering members the opportunity to compete at an international level from their home range. Archers shoot NFAA 300 rounds (blue/white face) for the first 5-week session and Vegas rounds for the second 5-week session. The archer’s top 4 scores from each session are counted toward their National Indoor League final placement.

IMPORTANT: League scores do NOT have to be shot at a host location. If there is no host in their area, archers can also participate at any 20-yard indoor range around the world. Host locations with a current NFAA club charter or shop license and current NFAA Indoor Range Certification are eligible for rebates.

All participants are entered to win entries into an nfaa national event of their choice and other prizes!

All NFAA divisions are eligible to participate. Participants must be a NFAA member in good standing and can register in up to three shooting styles within the same age division. No registrations will be accepted after the Late Registration Deadline.

LEAGUE FORMAT

The National League consists of 10 weeks, broken into two 5-week sessions. The archer’s best 4 scores from each session will count toward their final National League placement.

Session 1: Jan 12 – Feb 16, 2025. Archers will submit a minimum of 4 NFAA 300 rounds (blue/white face), consisting of 12 ends of 5 arrows for a maximum total of 300. Xs will be used as tie-breakers. All scorecards and electronic scores for Session 1 must be submitted no later than Feb 19, 2025.

Session 2: Feb 17 – Mar 23, 2025. Archers will submit 4 Vegas rounds, consisting of 10 ends of 3 arrows for a maximum total of 300. Xs will be used as tie-breakers. All National League scorecards and electronic scores for Session 2 must be submitted no later than Mar 26, 2025.

Rounds can be completed at any 20-yard range around the world. Archers must submit all 8 scores (best 4 Vegas rounds and best 4 NFAA 300 rounds) to be given a final ranking and be eligible for awards.

electronic scoring & Scorecard submission

Electronic scoring is required for the National League. Archers are encouraged to submit their electronic scores immediately after completing each round to view rankings. If more than the required four scores are entered, the electronic scoring system will automatically reflect only the best four scores for each session. Scores will not be posted until the League has been completed and all scores have been submitted. The deadlines for submitting electronic scores and scorecards are listed above in the League Format section of this page.

Not familiar with how electronic scoring works? Click to view a Quick Guide for Electronic Scoring and a Video Tutorial.

Official scorecards will be emailed to the registered archer no later than the first day of the event. For archers registering after the League has started, scorecards will be emailed periodically each week. Archers will need to print multiple copies of each the NFAA 300 round (blue/white) scorecard and Vegas round scorecard to record paper scores and submit electronic scores. Archers may utilize any unofficial scorecard in lieu of the official scorecard if they have not received them before their rounds begin. However, all scores must be ultimately recorded on the provided official scorecards prior to scorecard submission. Completed scorecards must be submitted via an online form for validation purposes. Note for hosting clubs and shops!!

If you are an NFAA club/shop hosting multiple National League archers and want to take care of scorecards on their behalf, please email info@nfaausa.com with names of your registered archers. NFAA Staff can then email the scorecards directly to you for printing. As a host, you can also submit the completed scorecards directly to NFAA via email instead of the Scorecard Submission Form used by the archers.

ROUND AND SCORING RULES

All rounds will follow NFAA rules as stated in the NFAA Constitution and By-Laws, Article VI, Section E.

Cubs will shoot at 10 yards for the NFAA 300 rounds (blue/white face) and 20 yards for the Vegas rounds.

Archers can choose whether they shoot the 40cm single-spot or multi-spot target face for both the NFAA blue/white 300 rounds and the Vegas rounds. All archers will shoot the 40cm single-spot or multi-spot target face for both rounds regardless of age division or shooting style.

The archer plus at least two witnesses must sign the bottom of each official scorecard to be considered valid. Scores for each submitted round must be recorded on the provided official scorecard.

Inside-out Xs are counted for tie-breaker purposes. Archers should record them on the official scorecard and electronic score as IX. An arrow is IX if it is fully inside the X-ring line without touching it.

For all NFAA rounds, an arrow shaft need only touch the line to be counted in the area of next higher value.

EQUIPMENT RULES

All rounds will follow NFAA shooting styles and equipment rules as stated in the NFAA By-Laws, Article II.

Thank you for your interest in hosting the NFAA National Indoor League! You are welcome to promote the National League alongside your local league and encourage archers to sign up for both. Best of all, there are no fees or forms associated with hosting, and you do NOT need to register your League with the NFAA. The only requirements to being a host location include abiding by the NFAA indoor range and round rules set forth in the NFAA Constitution and By-Laws, Article IV, Section E (pp 54-56).

If you are hosting multiple archers and want to take care of scorecards on their behalf, please email info@nfaausa.com with names of the archers who are shooting the National League. NFAA Staff can then email the scorecards directly to you for printing. As a host, you can also submit the completed scorecards directly to NFAA via email instead of the Scorecard Submission Form used by the archers.

REBATES

The NFAA is offering rebates to host clubs in the amount of $25/adult and $20/junior participants. No form needs to be completed by the host to receive this rebate. Rebate checks will be mailed to the club mailing address on file within 2 weeks of the National Indoor League completion. Hosting clubs may also charge their own fee to the archer to further aid in covering expenses.

For a host to be automatically eligible for these rebates, all of the following must be true:

  • The archer declares the location as his/her home range on the scorecard submission form.
  • The shop/club has an active NFAA charter/license through the duration of the League.
  • The shop/club has an active NFAA Indoor Range Certificate through the duration of the League. If a host has an expired Indoor Range Certificate, it must be reinstated no later than the end of Session 1 on Feb 16, 2025 to be eligible for rebates. The Indoor Range Certificate is a separate designation from the charter/license and requires a range inspection.

general faq

How can my home club/shop sign up to host the National Indoor League?

There is no official "sign up" process to host. The club can simply advertise the League using the official promotional materials provided on the Host Information tab, and tie it into their existing league if they so choose.

How do I find a hosting club/shop in my area?

Since we are not asking hosts to register with us, we do not have an official list of the National League hosts. You can search for NFAA Clubs & Shops on the Club & Shop Finder to see if there are any NFAA clubs or shops in your area. If there are, we encourage you to reach out to them to see if they are hosting or would like to host.

How can my club/shop earn rebates for League archers?

All NFAA clubs and shops are eligible for rebates as long as their Club Charter/Shop License AND their Indoor Range Certification is valid through the duration of the League. If a host has an expired Indoor Range Certificate, it must be reinstated no later than the end of Session 1. The club will automatically receive a rebate for each archer who designates the location as their home range on the Scorecard Submission Form. No form or additional work is required from the club. For more details, please visit the Host Information tab.

Where can I shoot rounds for the National Indoor League?

You can shoot rounds for the National Indoor League at any 20 yard range around the world!

What is the range distance?

Cubs will shoot from 20 yards for Vegas rounds and 10 yards for the NFAA 300 blue/white round. All other divisions shoot from 20 yards for both rounds.

Where can I purchase targets to shoot during the rounds?

The NFAA will not be providing targets to host locations. Targets can be purchased through the online NFAA Store

What if no one else in my area wants to shoot the NFAA National Indoor League?

That is okay! There is no shooting group size requirement to participate in the National Indoor League. Only yourself plus two other witnesses need to sign your scorecard to be considered valid. Get to the range, shoot some arrows, and have FUN!!

I have other questions. Who should I contact?

Please email info@nfaausa.com with additional questions.

scoring faq

How do I submit my scores and scorecards?

You can submit scorecards at any time via the Scorecard Submission Form. Once the form is completed the first time, you will be sent a confirmation email. The link provided in that email will enable you to return to the SAME form and update it throughout the League with your remaining scorecards.

Electronic scoring is required and can be completed via the Ianseo ScoreKeeper NG app. Click here to review a Quick Guide to Electronic Scoring

What if I can’t submit my scores every week?

Archers are not required to submit scores every week during the League, but their name will not appear on the updated standings if no scores are submitted. The deadline for all Session 1 scorecards and electronic scores to be submitted is Feb 19, 2025. All National League scorecards and electronic scores for Session 2 must be submitted no later than Mar 26, 2025. Any scores received after these dates will not count toward the archer’s National League ranking.

What scorecard do I use when shooting my rounds?

Official scorecards will be emailed to the registered archer no later than the first day of the event. For archers registering after this time, scorecards will be emailed every couple of days. Archers will need to print both the NFAA 300 round (blue/white) scorecard and Vegas round scorecard to record paper scores and submit electronic scores. The Vegas round scorecard will be emailed to all participants shortly before the beginning of Session 2.

Archers may utilize any unofficial scorecard in lieu of the official scorecard if they have not received them before their rounds begin. However, all scores must be ultimately recorded on the provided official scorecards prior to scorecard submission. Completed scorecards must be submitted via an online form for validation purposes. Click here to Submit Your Official Scorecards

How do I download and use the electronic scoring app?

The app used for electronic scoring is the Ianseo Scorekeeper NG app. Please be sure your app is updated to the latest version.

Click here to download the Ianseo Scorekeeper NG app from the Apple Store

Click here to download the Ianseo Scorekeeper NG app from Google Play

Archers can input their electronic score during or following each round as long as submissions are completed before the session deadline. Each round on your official scorecard has a unique QR code to be scanned with the scoring app. Once scanned, the app brings up your electronic scorecard for each round. Internet connection or cellular data service is only required when scanning the QR code and at the end of each round to connect the scores to the server. Service is not required during the scoring input. No extra step is necessary to ‘upload’ the electronic score. As long as the cloud on the upper right corner of the screen is GREEN to indicate a successful connection, the score has been received.

For detailed instructions on inputting electronic scores, please review the Electronic Scoring Quick Guide and/or the YouTube tutorial video.

What if I want to replace a score I have already input in the app?

If you wish to submit a new score after five have already been submitted, you may replace a score by scanning the QR code on one of the previously submitted scorecards and clearing the arrow values. In this case, a new official scorecard that represents the new electronic score for that round should be uploaded to the Scorecard Submission Form. For example, if you replace Round 3 with a higher score on the electric scorecard, you should submit a new official scorecard with the new score represented in the Round 3 section. It is not necessary to fill out the arrow values for the other rounds on the new scorecard if the scorecard has already been uploaded to the Scorecard Submission Form and you are only replacing Round 3.

I want to begin shooting the League, but I haven’t received my official scorecards yet. What do I do?

Official scorecards will be emailed to the registered archer no later than the first day of the event. For archers registering after the League has started, scorecards will be emailed periodically each week. Archers will need to print both the NFAA 300 round (blue/white) scorecard and Vegas round scorecard to record paper scores and submit electronic scores. The Vegas round scorecard will be emailed to all participants shortly before the beginning of Session 2.

Archers may use any unofficial scorecard if they have not received the official scorecard before their rounds start. However, all scores must be ultimately recorded on the provided official scorecards prior to scorecard submission.

My score was recorded on a different scorecard. Can I submit it instead of the National League official scorecard?

If a score is recorded on a scorecard other than the official one, the original scorecard can be submitted with the Scorecard Submission Form to fulfill the (2) witness signature requirement. However, the score must also be recorded on the official scorecard, as it needs to reflect the accurate arrow values and round score for verification.

Is there a way to track live results and standings?

Standings and results can be tracked via the link below. Note that the page will only display the archer’s ranking until all scores have been validated. Rankings will be periodically updated throughout the League, and scores will be posted after all official scorecards have been verified by NFAA Headquarters following the completion of each session.
