Mission & Purpose
The National Field Archery Association has been dedicated to the advancement of archery since 1939. Our mission defines why we exist and guides the work we do every day. The purposes outlined in our Constitution provide the foundation for that mission, establishing the principles and responsibilities that have shaped the organization for generations. Together, our mission and constitutional purposes reflect our commitment to serving archers, supporting clubs and state associations, promoting fair and consistent competition, encouraging education and ethical bowhunting, recognizing achievement, and fostering sportsmanship throughout the archery community.
mission
The National Field Archery Association advances and preserves the sport of archery by uniting archers, clubs, and state associations through leadership, education, and standardized competition. We promote sportsmanship, recognize achievement, encourage the responsible and ethical practice of bowhunting, and support the conservation of wildlife and natural habitats while honoring the traditions of the sport. The NFAA strengthens the archery community and inspires participation at every level, ensuring the continued growth and preservation of the sport for generations to come.
This mission is fulfilled by establishing standards, developing resources, and providing a platform for archers to learn, compete, and achieve their goals. Through its network of clubs, state associations, volunteers, and partners, the NFAA delivers events, programs, and services that strengthen the foundation of archery and promote its continued success.
