How do I find collegiate events in my area?

View our Event Calendar to browse all events, from local to national ones. Collegiate divisions are optional at State championships, so we recommend you contact the State organization or event organizer(s) to ensure they are offering collegiate divisions.

What happens if I don’t compete in the Collegiate division in at least one NFAA or NFAA Foundation event each calendar year?

A year of collegiate eligibility will be forfeited if you miss a full calendar year of NFAA collegiate competition. However, you may request to regain eligibility for that year if the absence was due to injury or other justifiable reasons.

What types of awards do you offer for the NFAA collegiate divisions?

Collegiate divisions will be eligible for the same awards available to all other amateur divisions at NFAA and NFAA Foundation events as well as special Collegiate awards and/or scholarships at select events.

Do you offer collegiate team competitions?

Yes, team competitions are available at select NFAA and NFAA Foundation events. At those events, the top-ranked male or female archer in each shooting style comprises the 4-person team for award purposes and/or team rounds. Additional state dues may be required to participate in State and Local events, at the discretion of the State Association.

DIVISIONS OF COMPETITION

Can I still compete in NFAA collegiate divisions if I am not part of a collegiate team or club?

Yes! The NFAA Collegiate Program is open to all collegiate archers whether competing individually or as part of a team provided they meet the eligibility requirements.

COLLEGIATE CLUBS

Are there requirements or fees to create an NFAA Collegiate Club? What are the steps involved?

Good news: no! You can create an NFAA Collegiate Club for free with no requirements or strings attached. *CREATE TUTORIAL FOR CREATING ON S80*

What is the difference between an NFAA Collegiate Club and an NFAA-chartered Club?

An NFAA-chartered club is affiliated with the NFAA through a State Association. The are required to pay an annual membership fee and to have at least 5 individual NFAA members affiliated with their club. NFAA-chartered clubs can host sanctioned NFAA events, utilize our League program for local and national leagues, obtain certified range inspections to ensure safety, take advantage of award programs and special insurance rates, and more.

NFAA Collegiate Clubs do not have any requirements: there is no fee or minimum number of individuals needed to form a Collegiate club. They are simply groups of archers established to allow Collegiate athletes to affiliate with their respective schools without any requirements, fees, or a minimum number of members. These clubs are primarily for association purposes and do not offer any additional benefits to the members, unlike NFAA-chartered clubs.

How can I find if my college or university has an existing NFAA Collegiate Club?

It's easy! You can browse the Collegiate Clubs list. ADD LINK

Are club members required to wear matching uniforms at NFAA collegiate events?

Archers are not required to wear matching uniforms, but shirts or jerseys displaying the name of their college/university are welcomed.

Are NFAA Collegiate Clubs required to designate an official coach?

No. While it is a good idea to find a coach in your area that can help the team, an official coach is not required to reside over the club.
