Great news! The standard rules for NFAA rounds and equipment shooting styles apply to collegiate divisions and events. Take care to review the shooting style rules to ensure your equipment is permitted.

NFAA round & equipment Rules

Collegiate archers may register for NFAA and NFAA Foundation events with a COLLEGIATE ADD-ON. The below shooting styles are offered for both male and female divisions. 

  • Freestyle
  • Freestyle Limited Recurve
  • Bowhunter Freestyle*
  • Barebow Recurve

*NFAA rules do not permit any kind of scope lens with or without magnification for Bowhunter Freestyle. Refer to the previous section for all NFAA equipment rules.

Archers are able to participate in both their regular division (i.e. Adult Male Freestyle) and their applicable collegiate division. Professional archers who are eligible for the collegiate division are able to participate in both their Pro division and collegiate division.

Collegiate archers are eligible for awards offered in standard NFAA divisions in addition to special collegiate awards and/or scholarships at select NFAA and NFAA Foundation events. 

TEAM Rounds

Team rankings and awards are available at select NFAA and NFAA Foundation events. Check the respective event page for a full description of the team round rules and format when offered.
