A group of 29 archers proudly represented the National Field Archery Association at the 2024 IFAA World Field Archery Championship, which was held in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná State, Brazil.

The competition took place from August 2nd to August 10th, 2024, and was conducted by the rules and regulations of the International Field Archery Association (IFAA). This event was open to archers who were members in good standing from countries that were IFAA members, which included the NFAA!

OLIVER AUSTIN, NFAA Southeast Councilman, and Team Captain, commented, “The opening ceremonies for the World Field Archery Championships in Brazil were quite impressive. The event featured a parade of athletes and included several performances: Brazilian dancers, a young man demonstrating speed jump rope, and a family ensemble with a young child and an older participant playing the accordion, which accompanied additional dancing. The United States was represented by four style teams: two in Freestyle Unlimited, one in Bowhunter Unlimited, and one in Barebow Recurve. Additionally, we had a team competing in the Team of Nations category and were optimistic about our performance!”
