2026 National Indoor League Drives Nationwide Participation
The 2026 National Indoor League delivered 12 weeks of dynamic competition giving archers the opportunity to compete on an international stage without ever leaving their home ranges. Held from January 5 through March 29, the annual League once again showcased a format that connects athletes across the globe while keeping competition accessible at the local level.
This year’s League featured nearly 300 archers competing across 58 host ranges worldwide. During the opening six weeks, archers focused on NFAA 300 rounds shot on the classic blue and white target face, submitting a minimum of five scores as they prepared for the NFAA Indoor National Championships. In the latter half of the League, the format shifted to Vegas rounds in the lead-up to The Vegas Shoot, where archers were again required to submit at least five rounds. While additional scores could be turned in throughout each phase, only the top five in each phase were counted, giving competitors the flexibility to shoot on their own schedule while still rewarding continued improvement.
A key appeal of the National League system is the ability for archers to compete on a national scale directly from their local range, while also having the option to submit scores shot at NFAA events. This structure allows participants to push themselves throughout the season, track their progress over time, and stay engaged as they work to improve their performance.
Top finishers in each division earned coveted National League belt buckles in recognition of their success. All registered participants were also entered into a raffle, with Robin Smith and Helen Burr each receiving free pre-registration to a 2026–27 NFAA national or sectional event of their choice.
Beyond the athlete experience, the League also provided meaningful benefits for host locations. Clubs and shops holding a current NFAA charter or license along with indoor range certification were eligible for lucrative hosting rebates, offering a strong incentive for facilities to take part. These benefits reflect the NFAA’s ongoing commitment to giving back to its clubs and supporting the local organizations that serve as the foundation of the sport.
Looking ahead, the momentum carries into the outdoor season with the National Outdoor Leagues beginning in May. The National Field League will open the series, leading into the National Field Championships, followed by the National Target League, which concludes with the National Target Championships. Archers and clubs alike are encouraged to get involved, take advantage of rebate opportunities, and be part of a growing community competing nationwide.
