2026 ND ACA State 300
Our first state archery tournament of the season for the North Dakota Alliance of Competitive Archers is officially in the books—and “busy” doesn’t even begin to cover it. We were absolutely busting at the seams, and in the best possible way.
This year’s event set a new benchmark with a record 122 archers on the line. To accommodate the unprecedented turnout, we expanded to four shooting lines, an exciting logistical feat that allowed us to run the Midwest Sectionals simultaneously. The energy in the venue was electric as archers stepped to the line, round after round, across two full days of competition.
In addition to the Midwest Sectionals, the tournament also hosted the Collegiate Sweepstakes, further elevating the level of competition and variety of divisions represented. When everything was tallied, the numbers told an incredible story: 155 divisions of archery were contested over the two days. From youth to collegiate, traditional to modern disciplines, the range showcased the full spectrum of competitive archery.
What stood out most—beyond the record-setting participation—was the professionalism, sportsmanship, and focus displayed by the athletes. Running four lines at once requires precision and teamwork, and both archers and officials rose to the challenge. The pace was steady, the shooting was sharp, and the atmosphere reflected a community deeply invested in the sport.
This tournament marked a powerful start to the state season and set the tone for what’s ahead. The growth of the North Dakota Alliance of Competitive Archers is clear, and events like this highlight not only the increasing interest in competitive archery, but also the strength of the programs, coaches, and families supporting these athletes.
If this opening tournament is any indication, the season ahead promises to be one for the record books.
