NFAA Foundation Awards $6,000 in Scholarships at the 2025 Rushmore Rumble

The 2025 Rushmore Rumble, held at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center, highlighted outstanding competition and new opportunities for junior and collegiate archers. This year, the NFAA Foundation awarded two separate sets of scholarships, totaling $6,000, to support both junior and collegiate athletes.

 Junior Division Scholarship Awards

Junior archers competing in the male and female Cub, Youth, and Young Adult divisions across Compound, Recurve, and the newly added Bowhunter and Barebow Recurve categories showcased remarkable talent. The NFAA Foundation awarded a combined $4,000 in scholarships to the first-place winners of each junior division. These scholarships can be accumulated throughout an archer’s high school career by participating in NFAA and NFAA Foundation events, creating a pathway to support their post-high school education—whether it be college, trade school, or other secondary education pursuits.

The addition of Bowhunter and Barebow Recurve divisions this year reflects the growing diversity of talent and equipment preferences within the sport. As the NFAA Foundation continues to expand its junior scholarship offerings, it aims to include all NFAA events in the coming years, ensuring even more opportunities for young athletes to excel both on and off the range.

Collegiate Add-On Divisions

For the first time at the Rushmore Rumble, collegiate archers had the chance to compete in dedicated add-on divisions. The NFAA Foundation, in partnership with the NFAA, awarded $2,000 in scholarships to first-place winners in the Male and Female Compound, Recurve, Bowhunter, and Barebow Recurve divisions.

This innovative format allowed collegiate participants to compete in their regular Rushmore Rumble divisions—Flights or Championship—for cash prizes while simultaneously entering their scores into the collegiate results. This dual opportunity provided a unique experience for college students to test their skills against peers while pursuing their academic and athletic goals.

Looking Ahead

The NFAA Foundation’s scholarship initiatives reflect a strong commitment to the sport of archery and its athletes. By supporting both junior and collegiate divisions, the Foundation not only invests in the sport’s future but also inspires young archers to aim high in their academic and professional pursuits.
