Vegas Shoot breaks 3500 entries for 1st time

Registration has nearly doubled since 2013, when 1811 shooters competed.

The Vegas Shoot broke 3500 registrations for the first time in history with one day left to go in the registrations period in 2018, setting another new attendance record.

In 2013, 1811 archers attended; in 2014 it was 2165; 2573 in 2015 and 3050 in 2016. In 2017, 3480 people - amateurs and pros - shot the tournament.

"Each year we break a new landmark. The support of the archery community means a lot to us and makes all the hard work put in by the staff and volunteers at the NFAA worthwhile," said NFAA Foundations President Bruce Cull.

"But there's still room to grow and we'll continue to improve the tournament and encourage more people to come shoot with us in Vegas."

The Vegas Shoot is the largest single venue indoor archery tournament in the world.

Since becoming the fourth stage and host of the finals of the Indoor Archery World Cup, the number of international archers travelling to the event has also increased significantly.

The Indoor Archery World Cup stage four and Indoor Archery World Cup Final takes place on Saturday, February 10 and The Vegas Shoot shootdowns on Sunday, February 11.
