Article XII

A.        State Association Dues:

State association (or foreign country) dues for the National Field Archery Association shall be determined by the total NFAA membership within the affiliated association. The fee shall be $100.00 for each one thousand members to a maximum of $150. This shall be based on a count taken on December 31 of each year.

1.         A late fee of $10.00 per month will be assessed for compliance affidavits received by councilman after November 30.

B.         One-Time dues:

For promotional purposes, the NFAA reserves the right to adjust dues for first time members that join directly through the NFAA.  Individual dues for first time members joining directly through the NFAA shall be $65.00 ($25.00 to be forwarded to the member’s State Association).  Family dues shall be $95.00 ($45.00 to be forwarded to the member’s State Association).  A family unit is defined as a head of household, spouse and dependents less than 18 years of age.  Junior membership dues, as a primary member, shall be $35.00 ($20.00 to be forwarded to the member’s State Association).  After the first year of membership, all dues shall revert to the standard billing system used by each State Association.  Should a new member join the NFAA directly through their respective State Association, the State Association fees used through the billing system shall apply.

C.         Individual dues:

Individual dues for the National Field Archery Association shall be $50.00 per year per person and shall include the National Field Archery Association’s official publication. Each member or head of household may at his/her option, elect for $1 to be designated for the Bowhunter Defense fund. Dues for one additional family membership shall be $15.00 per year. Additional family memberships shall be $10.00 per year per person.  A family is defined as head of the household, spouse, and all dependents less than 18 years of age.  A Youth family is defined as 2 or more youth members less than 18 years of age.  Youth family members must be siblings.

Dues billing shall be handled by NFAA for states.  NFAA shall return state dues monthly.

D.        Military and foreign dues:

Dues for the NFAA for military personnel and foreign nationals belonging to the NFAA affiliated association, or military personnel on transient basis who are not located within the jurisdiction of an affiliated body, shall be $50.00 per year per person and shall include the NFAA’s official publication. Dues for one additional family membership shall be $15.00 per year. Additional family memberships shall be $10.00 per year per person. Transient military personnel shall be serviced from NFAA Headquarters.

E.         Non-affiliated individual dues:

NFAA membership dues in states not affiliated with the NFAA shall be $30.00 per year per person. Dues for additional family members shall be $6.00 per year per person.

F.         Effective date of dues:

Dues to the NFAA become effective January 1, 1966 and thereafter, during the fiscal year.

G.        Payment of dues:

Payment of NFAA dues shall coincide with payment of state dues. 

H.        Bowhunter dues:

The yearly NFAA Bowhunter membership dues shall be $50.00 with $5.00 deposited in the Bowhunter Defense fund, $5.00 returned to the State Association, and $5.00 to the NFAA general fund for administration.  The balance will be applied for magazine subscription and individual liability insurance.  Dues for one additional family membership shall be $15.00 per year.  Additional family memberships shall be $10.00 per year per person.

I.          Life Membership dues:

The fee for Life Membership shall be:

Head of Household                   20 times the Adult annual dues.

Head of Household (over 65)     6 times the Adult annual dues.

Spouse                                     20 times the additional Adult family membership dues.

Each state will provide a state rate for regular and senior life membership.

J.          Club/Shop Charter Fee:

The annual fee for Club/Shop charter shall be $35.00.

K.        Course Approval Fee:

The fee for each course approval shall be $20.00 and shall be good for two years.

L.         Professional Division Dues:

Annual fees for the Professional Division shall be $125.00. This is in addition to the applicable NFAA membership dues.

M.        Junior Membership fee:

Junior membership fee, as primary members, shall be $25.00 per year. No adult may be a second member on this membership. Additional Cub, Youth and Young Adult family members may be added to the primary member for a fee of $15.00 for one additional junior family member per year. Additional Cub, Youth and Young Adult family members may be added for $10.00 per year per person.  Junior members that have a current membership with, for example, S3DA, NASP, or JOAD may qualify for a 1-year trial membership.  The offer is valid for new NFAA junior members only and will be renewed at the regular Junior rate upon expiration.

N.        Changing of dues:

The annual NFAA dues for all categories of membership shall be decided by  a 2/3 vote of the Council based on the financial needs of the organization, to be ratified by the Board of Directors.
