Introducing NFAA Collegiate Archery: Aimed at College Archers Nationwide

The National Field Archery Association is launching Collegiate Archery divisions for college archers of all levels, offering events, awards, scholarships, and the opportunity to represent their schools.

Exciting news for all college archers! The National Field Archery Association is officially launching Collegiate Archery divisions designed for all college archers. Whether you’re part of a college team, a student club, or an individual archer, this opportunity is for you!

Bruce Cull, NFAA Executive Director, shared his excitement: "This new Collegiate opportunity builds on the involvement we already see at major events like The Vegas Shoot. We want to offer a wider range of events for both the NFAA and NFAA Foundation throughout the school year. Our goal is to keep college-age students engaged in our events at an affordable rate, allowing them to compete for traditional NFAA awards and prizes while also representing their colleges or universities. We're also thrilled to expand the number of scholarships we provide for college students."

Collegiate archers, get ready to take your skills to the next level!
You will be able to register for NFAA and NFAA Foundation events with the convenient COLLEGIATE ADD-ON. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, there's a division for everyone.

Shooting Styles for Male and Female Collegiate Divisions:

  • Freestyle
  • Freestyle Limited Recurve
  • Bowhunter Freestyle*
  • Barebow Recurve

*Note: For Bowhunter Freestyle, an oval or round housing around your reference points is permitted—just be sure there's NO LENS involved. Any lens with or without magnification is NOT allowed.

The best part? You can compete in both your regular NFAA division (like Adult Male Freestyle) and your collegiate division. Even NFAA Professional archers who qualify for the collegiate division can join in on the action, competing in both their Pro and collegiate divisions.

Membership Perks For just $35 a year, you can enjoy all the benefits of NFAA membership, including access to sectional and national events, awards, and scholarships. If you're already an NFAA Professional or Life member, you can add a collegiate membership at no extra cost. The membership is valid until July 31 each year, aligning with the academic calendar, and can be renewed 60 days before expiration.

First-term students are welcome, but you'll need to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduates. Transfer students are also eligible as long as they meet these criteria. Be sure to review all other collegiate eligibility requirements

Starting Your Own Club Interested in starting a collegiate archery club? The NFAA makes it easy with no membership fees or minimum member requirements for collegiate clubs. Research student organization options on your campus, reach out to local ranges and coaches, recruit members, and look into equipment grants. Understanding your school's policies on weapon sports and finances will also help you get started.
